It is combination of votes and downvotes received by content that makes it controversial
@ecency but I didn't see any downvote on the above post. Maybe a coding error? This is why I highlighted this.
Interesting, maybe due to someone (bigger stake) removing their vote?! We will have to investigate more.
This is not the one and only case. In controversial trending section I noticed multiple similar cases. Investigating how the logic works should be on pinned tasks
With Today filter or with others also? Today filter has small dataset to determine controversial info that's why it is natural there might be some issues. How logic works is already known, I mean investigating exact this situation...
