My Actifit RC: Jan 7th 23 - I Am Alive Challenge looking for inspiration - IAAC #251

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.

The first day after the Christmas holidays is announced with a sky made of shades of intense blue as in the best summer days. Even the temperatures are quite pleasant and we dress in winter for pure conformity.

This period of festivity put a strain on my inspiration and then in the morning I immediately went down to look for it somewhere in the city, in my humble opinion, more stimulating for the intellect in the world.

While I was taking subway 2 to go to Mergellina I saw the classic light bulb that symbolizes the idea in the comics on the hill near the cave where the park of Kripta Neapolitana stands.

The "Vergiliano Park" is a small grove that rises on the hill of Posillipo in the Piedigrotta district where Virgil loved to spend his time studying the magical virtues of plants and here it is said that he was buried.

Certainly here is the tomb of another great Italian poet and philosopher compared to the great Greek philosophers and his Latin peers or Giacomo Leopardi cultural phenomenon that already in his time reminded us that men should unite against the great challenges of natural disasters that hung over human beings. And what have we done since then?

The views that can be admired from this small corner of paradise hidden in the intense urbanization of the city are truly enchanting and breathtaking. Here you get lost admiring the fog that rises from the sea and wraps the Vesuvius in a mysterious embrace almost to want to hide the threats that conceal its jaws.

The garden is very well maintained by master gardeners and the variety of plants present is not common throughout the region. A park kept really well not very frequented and a small gem carved into the rock.

This gallery is said to have been built with a spell in one night by Virgil. This is only a popular medieval legend in that at the time of the Aragons the great Roman poet was attributed magical auras.

The gallery was actually most likely a large military work built during the Roman Imperial Civil Wars and it is thought that it took 100,000 soldiers to build it in 15 days. It is definitely an engineering masterpiece as it was originally very small being just two meters wide by two high and about 750 meters long.

After making a stop in the characteristic little house that is thought to be the tomb of Virgil built inspired by thaumaturgic buildings of Sardinian origin I stay to enjoy the oxygenated air present in abundance among the paths of the quiet park even if the turnout has become quite intense.

Now it’s time to celebrate my iamalivechallenge 251 thanking the city for the wonders that inspire my city tours and all the people who come to admire them gratifying us of their company. Even today they are alive and thrive and I hope to have made you part of a nice trip.
