Archaeological Museum - Capsule Of Time

History is a child of time. It passes, it changes, but it remains an indispensable part of us. We can't go back in time (yet 😊), to see everything first hand, but we are given a chance to experience the emotions, the arts of the past with archeological exhibitions.
Archaeological Museum, in the city of Bourgas, Bulgaria, is located in the city center. It is open for visits every day from 10:00 to 19:00 PM. Traveling exhibits are shown several times a year, and this month it is the treasures of the necropolis Anchialo.

The first exhibits we see are ancient anchors, with one, two and three holes. Stone fishing weights. Tools made of stone, bone, horn and flint. Materials typical of the Copper Age or also know as Chalcolithic.

Then we see the beginning of the new age, the early Iron Age. Religion and the gods, which were then worshiped.

The thing that impressed me, if you enlarge the picture of the amphora, you can see how exquisitely, without mistakes it is painted. No Photoshop or printers, they have managed to create something so beautiful, just with their hands.

Despite all this beauty. Some things awakened in me, even more questions about the past. As you can see in the picture above and in the bottom ...

as much as the plates are preserved, some of them are missing faces. We can only guess why, erased by time or even broken. There is no way to know for sure ...

However, if we compare and look deeper into their history, we can find a possible reason. Or a mystery.
The stages of spiritual exaltation characteristic of that time before man became a warrior or a god. Anyone worthy could be in this place. Probably this is the reason, the preserved plates lack faces. Or maybe they keep their identity Π° secret.
What else does history hide from us?

And now, the treasure of Anhialo.

Let our children not grow up in a terrible world. Together we can make it better. It is our destiny to
suffer from the past, to long for the future, but to forget the present.

History is just so fascinating. Egyptian history is one of my favourites too. I still read all the conspiracies how the pyramids are build. πŸ™‚

It's fascinating to see the connecting with the stars. How did they do that in those days? Have you ever seen the documentary "Chariots of the Gods" by Erich von DΓ€niken? It's a very old one (1970), but a very interesting one!

You are right that we cannot go back to see old things but these exhibitions of ancient things make us realize the ancient objects.
