Real life Scotland Yard - Hunting Mister X at theme park "Ravensburger Spieleland"
Hey dear actifitters and readers,
we had a wonderful day at the Ravensburger Spieleland.
We visited "Ravensburger Spieleland" a theme park in the south of Germany.
Do you know the board game "Scotland yard"? The game is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year and we were part of the celebration yesterday.
Weather conditions were perfect as we arrived at the park. Our timing was perfect. It was about one minute before the gates opened and we had no wasted waiting time.
After the registration we went straight to the event tent for the introduction.
We were put into the first time slot and had to start directly after the introductions were given.
We got a map of the park in a Scotland Yard like style with railway and bus station. Our task was to hunt Mister X as fast as possible.
At every station we got a task or a riddle to solve to get a hint for the next station.
After an hour and twelve minutes we got him well hidden behind the cinema. We made one mistake which costs us some extra minutes and the victory. We made it to the second place with only four minutes behind the winners. We got two special editions of "Scotland Yard" as prizes.
Between the hunt and the announcement of the winners we had about 3 hours to spent in the park. The target audience are parents with young children but we had fun as adults too.
The attractions aren't extrem and there is only one little roller-coaster in the park.
We did some rides on different attractions and went for lunch in the restaurant.
After one day at the park a can recommend it to parents with young children. If you like roallercosters and extreme rides for adults the park won't met your expectations.
Back home at my friend's home we made pizza in hsi new pizza oven.
The oven is fired with woodsticks and makes a perfect and absolutely delicious pizza in three minutes.
