Three Games, Three Tracks - Pt. 6
I have no idea what tomorrow will bring but I will say that I'm certainly glad I discovered chess and Mac Miller. Mac and the game of chess have gotten me through some rough times, no doubt about it.
Life just loves to keep handing gut punches but, I'm still standing. Barely, but thanks to God I still get to experience this wild existence.
I actually feel like I'm hitting a slight breakthrough with chess. These games in particular DO NOT do it justice. Funny how yesterday I said I haven't seen much progress. But today I literally have seen a +100 in my elo score. Feels pretty good. Looking at these games only from a month ago, it's pretty funny how different I see the game. Learning from Gothamchess and Hikaru has been a slow, intriguing progression. This whole chess experience in general has been really one of a kind.
For the music side of things, tonight I randomly decided to include some Mac Miller tracks off of his 2012 mixtape 'Macadelic'. It's definitely one of my favorite projects of his. Rest in peace, Mac! He is one of the greats in my opinion.
First song I'd like to share off of this mixtape is '1 Threw 8'. This song is so smooth and intriguing to me. Mac's originality is tremendous.
Second song is 'Angels (When She Shuts Her Eyes)'. Man this song feels so freeing and beautiful. Takes me back to simpler times instantly. The beat is iconic.
Lastly, 'F* Em All'. This song is sooooo catchy and deep. One of my favorite songs ever. His attitude in this one is really motivating.
Mac Miller, man. Just unforgettable.
Tonight's video is this really interesting video of Hikaru playing Magnus in several chess matches. Really entertaining and valuable content! Hikaru really processes the game on a whole different level. Of course so does Magnus. Really impressive.
