"Inheritance" - Chapters 29-32 - My Thoughts

MANY Spoilers!!

Chapters Read:

  • To Feed a God
  • Infidels on the Loose
  • The Tolling of the Bell
  • Black-Shrike-Thorn-Cave

Yeah so WOW. These chapters are reminding me quickly why Inheritance just might be my favorite of the series and maybe one of my favorite books ever? I plan on reading a lot here so we shall see. But yeah, pound for pound these four chapters might be the most action packed chapters of the whole series. Seriously just non stop action and drama! Nuts!

Eragon and Arya being trapped by those priests or whatever you wanna call them was just gritty, and just the eerie possibilty of the Ra'zac returning was pretty wicked. The low-key power the Ra'zac have is nuts.

The race out of the Cathedral once and for all was intriguing. Angela's power is so mysterious and while I'm pretty certain that we don't get to understand how or why she's so powerful, I wish we at least got even partial information to even hypothesize on. But she's just randomly a super good magician and ninja? Why doesn't she just kill Galbatorix at this point? Lol. It's also intriguing to see the High Priest be so strangely powerful to be able to duel Eragon, Arya, Solembum and Angela? It's often said that elves are the strongest and whatnot but there's Angela, and random humans that seem to be oddly powerful? Then Angela saying her name to the Priest? I there a history there? MAX INTRIGUE!!!

The way Saphira seriously holds her own against Thorn and Murtagh with Blödhgarm on her back was so cool and is a scene I forgot for the most part. It's also fascinating to see the odd feelings Saphira has toward Thorn, and how she suspects Thorn has similar feelings.

It's rather oddly discouraging that Saphira and others seem to almost do better without Eragon's involvement HA. So weird.

But yeah, the action is happening big time. I'm so intrigued to eventually read about Murtagh and Thorn more in their book!

I'm so glad I only read Inheritance once. I really barely know what's happening next!

Yeah, I'm definitely having a good time! I wish I could live in fantasy books like this at times. So glad there's further adventures in Murtagh. I know I'm repeating myself a lot but yeah oh well.

This is pure cinema right now!
