I am more than ready for 'Hogwarts: Legacy' the video game!!!!
Well, it's 2022 and J.K. Rowling is still somehow taking my money. She can gladly have it for all the joy she has created for me and probably BILLIONS of other people.
I've played a few Harry Potter video games in the past and they were always pretty fun, but for some reason I am a lot more excited about this game. I think it's because I've been rewatching the Harry Potter movies with my son, and the fact that I actually have my books out on display on my own bookshelves for the first time in about two years or so. Frankly probably longer than that, because for about ten years or so there has always been at least a few of my books locked away in a box. Now they are all out.
In addition to that, a new Wizarding World of Harry Potter film called 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore' is coming out in just TWO weeks and I'm INSANELY pumped for that.
J.K. might as well just take my paychecks LOL.
Finally, I am soooo excited for this game because well, I had no idea that a new Harry Potter video game was even coming out whatsoever until about two weeks ago! I saw the trailer and clicked and MAN was I just in shock and awe while I watched it.
Honestly, I'm probably more excited about this game simply because it looks like it could be the best Harry Potter video game EVER!
It's a Wizarding World game where you can essentially be a real student in HOGWARTS MAN. You can customize your appearance and everything. Get sorted into a House and EXPLORE not only the castle but the surrounding area as well all in IMPRESSIVE detail.
The maps and art just look OUTSTANDING!!!
I mean come on... Beautiful!
The game seems to be bursting with mystery at every turn. It takes place before Harry Potter's existence AND Voldemort's. It seems to take place about two years before Dumbledore becomes a first year student at Hogwarts. Hmmmmm....
The main character (the person playing) has their own mysteries to unlock and stories to tell.
I mean, I just don't know what to say. I'm just rambling at this point.
The idea that you can pretend to be a REAL student at Hogwarts and really feel like a part of the real Wizarding World I read about and watched in the movies for so many years is just absolutely exciting. I just want to explore and get lost in the world NOW.
I don't get excited about video games unless it's Madden so, this is just a treat.
Both the movie AND the video game coming out this year makes me feel like it's 2001-2011 all over again.
I. Am. Giddy.
I don't know how I will be a productive human once I get my hands on this game LOL.
I want to immerse myself in this game and just be a powerful wizard.
My. Goodness. I can't wait to leave a legendary legacy at Hogwarts!
Anyway, I'd love to discuss Harry Potter and this game with any fans out there!
