Facebook, the permanent high school reunion - 9/17/21

Slept well, feel energized.

For some stupid reason I logged into Facebook and then immediately regretted it. Gosh Facebook is so weird and toxic man.

Facebook is a major reason why I looked for an alternative way to use social media. I eventually found Steem which is now Hive.

I feel like in the past, after people graduated high school that's pretty much the last time you see the majority of your high school friends. I feel like that's how it's been forever. That's probably how it should be and how our minds are wired as humans. We are now brainwahsed to think it's a good thing to like, keep in touch with people from grade school? Basically mutually agreeing to stalk each other, forever?

Before normal school existed people, what basically lived in vilages, small towns?

But on Facebook, it's become very very much like a permanent high school re-union. Very weird.

Facebook is somewhat ok when it comes to family and CLOSE friends, but even then it's kinda odd at times.

I respect those who simply don't use social media. That's a solid choice. But I enjoy the internet and learning new things. I think social activity can be good under the right circumstance, the right website etc.

Here on Hive, you can connect with people organically, more like real life. It's so much more open and free, not to mention obviously you can make money.

But yeah anyway, that's my monthly visit to Facebook.
