Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) review/thoughts

I feel weird saying these posts are reviews, I like to talk about movies and express some opinions about them. Say whether I liked it or not. Reviews feel like I'm grading it or something I don't know.

Anyway, Ant-Man and the Wasp was really good!

It had a great blend of funny, action and comedy and intrigue. In a lot of ways the Ant-Man movies are sci-fi movies in disguise. I just think these films are great.

I was really happy to see Scott spending time with his daughter in this movie after fighting to be able to be in her life. His daughter is awesome too, covering for him again when cops come looking for her dad, by stalling the police.

From the start of this movie it's clear that the quantum realm was going to play a bigger part in this movie which I loved. The main plot of this movie is basically for Hope and Hank to find Hope's mom/Hank's husband.

Scott's crew with Luis T.I. and the Eastern European dude are SUPER funny as always.

Hope and Hank both seem to be like tough cocky folk, but they aren't overly nasty I guess, I'm getting used to them and I understand more why Hope is the way she is. Her losing her mom for many years also helped alter her personality. Even Hank's former co-workers expressed distaste for Hank's annoying character traits.

The addition of Hope being the Wasp was nice to see in this movie. It was pretty epic seeing Ant-Man become GIANT Ant-Man.

I'm excited to see how they continue to explore the Quantum Realm in future films, there are a lot of mysterious qualities about that place that is yet to be discovered. At the end of the movie, it seems that Ant-Man may actually be STUCK in the Quantum realm, which could be super interesting!

I can't wait to see more of Ant-Man!

Captain Marvel starts as I publish this!
