I don't know why this sounded really funny to me but never the less I understand what you are going through because I am also a victim of this logic. There are a lot of old relatives I don't even talk to because my parents warned me of their evil powers even though there's literally no prove to back up their claims. Nevertheless I think we need to investigate more as adults instead of believing what we hear but it is still going to be a hassle
