在2008年北京奥运会后，为了宣扬奥运精神，陈冠明决定骑出国门。
期间，他骑着三轮车走，到过法国、墨西哥、英国、加拿大、美国、巴西等国。
期间，有3次在奥运会开幕当天登场，被称之为"奥运达人"。
不幸的是，在2017/10/18日，在阿根廷被一辆货车给辗死了，时年61岁。
