Does your Zodiac sign define you?

I haven't really been a fan of zodiac signs. Truth be told I don't really take them seriously and don't really understand the science behind them. I didn't know much about them until the frenzy began on social media. People making videos about their signs and how much their character actually reflects everything their zodiac sign represents. I still didn't take it seriously until I had a chat with a girl I actually really liked, she was a vibe and then one day she popped the question, "What's your zodiac sign?"

I couldn't bear to embarrass myself so I went straight to google to check my date of birth and the sign it represents, then I read a thing or two about it to be on the safe side. When I told her, she was like no wonder, that was why she easily connected with me, apparently we shared the same sign and that's why our personalities aligned. I laughed in my mind because my little sister and I also share the same zodiac sign and our personalities don't align at all. I guess she was getting it wrong because for me, I think like charges don't really attract and I think I was right because I started to see posts of which sign actually matches which.

Well, after all the vibe and all, we lost touch and I didn't even get to kiss her.

Do I really believe in Zodiac signs?

I really don't know, I don't see it as anything of importance. I'm me no matter what and I act in relation to my personality and surrounding but it doesn't in any way mean that there's no iota of truth coming from the science behind the zodiac signs. I decided once again to google what character traits I have with my Astrology sign Taurus of 18th may and I must say I was shocked.

Most of what was told was 99% accurate andi can only wonder how the hell they arrived at this predictions. Every bit of it reflects my personality. What even left me in awe was the fact that they pointed out that we're career driven, don't really love to work under other people and we distance ourselves from home. I'm doing all of that and that's just the kind of person I am. But then, I've seen people use this character traits to justify their toxic behaviors.

I don't think that's right in any way. Society always end up taking things too far. It's like me saying, well because I'm a Taurus I'll always be bad at love or making romantic decisions and then I let that define me. Every time I enter in a good relationship I'll have it at the back of my mind that oh well, it wouldn't work in the end. That's silly, and the more humans think like that the more things begin to go in that direction. Nature has a way of giving us what we expect even if it's not directly.

Zodiac signs are way more rooted than we can imagine, I could guess it's based on psychology and years of study or even occult, hehe but I have no issues with them at all. I just live my life and try to be as positive as I can be.
