Hidden Truth : A Freewrite

Detective John Smith had been a police officer for over 20 years, but he had never encountered a case as perplexing as the one he was currently working on. A young woman had been found murdered in her own home, and all evidence pointed to her husband as the killer. However, something about the case just didn't add up for John.

As he delved deeper into the investigation, John began to uncover a web of lies and secrets that seemed to surround the victim and her husband. He talked to friends, family, and colleagues, but no one seemed to know anything about the couple's life that could shed light on the murder.

But then, John received a tip from an anonymous source that led him to a witness who had seen the victim and her husband arguing with another person on the night of the murder. The witness was able to provide a detailed description of the person and John knew he had finally found a lead.

The person described by the witness was someone very close to the victim and her husband, it was their own daughter, who had argued with her mother about her lifestyle choices and in a fit of rage killed her.
