A Thorough Game : A Sports FlashFiction Freewrite

Been a die hard fan of my club, our chant outskirt the stadium was lit, we were expecting a win, a trophy, some goals and medals. The best player medal, best goal keeper and best scorer. Our player have done the due diligence to come this far and thrash the game to a heavy win.

But we messed it up with a goalless match, a boring game and darkness on the pitch because a high power line broke off miles away causing darkness on the pitch. A sort of demoralising scenario.

We opted to sue the stadium for this but the deed is done.
