The other day, i put a list of the best defensive fighters in history and I said there I Still many I haven't included on the list reason been there are many of them and without a doubt, they are also a beast and legends in their era, as I said the other day, many would argue that Floyd money Mayweather is the greatest Defensive boxer of all time but there are others who I think he emulates their techniques to perfect his style.

The other Top List goes thus:

1. James Toney

A boxing machine and a defensive genius. One of the least talked about boxers and the best from 1960 to here. Toney was not only stylish, but faced the best opposition of his time. He went from middleweight to heavyweight. He beat Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum, Iran Barkley, Rydell Booker, and Evander Hollyfield among others. A true defensive machine in his time.

2. Gene Fullmer

A lot of people are surprised when I put Gene Fulmer among the best defenders in history. A big mistake of some historians is to put this great boxer like a caveman. Of all the defensive boxers he was the ugliest defensively speaking in history. But his crossed arm saves X, and his style of clinching the opponent also counts as defense. His defense completely neutralized fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson who didn't know what to do with the Jab. He was a genius in defense, the ugliest of all time but one of the most effective.

3. Kid Chocolate

There is no doubt in my book that the Cuban was one of the best defensively in world boxing. His legendary fight against Tony Canzoneri is didactic to his great boxing style and great leg position. One of the most beautiful defensive fights in boxing history. His fights with Lew Feldman, Jacky Kid Berg, his legendary fights against Fidel La Barba, Benny Bass, Al Singer etc. One of the least known in world defense and the best technically in history.

4. Marlon Starling

Many have forgotten about this great boxer, he scored boxing in 1980. He was not a Golden Era, but he beat good quality boxers like Mark Breland, Lupe Aquino, Tommy Ayers, Simon Brown, Lloyd Honeygham, etc. He has the best tall guard in history, Brian Castaño himself copies Starling's technique. A boxer who mastered the high guard, after him no one did the same.

5. Wilfredo Benitez

One of the best defensively that he came out of Puerto Rico. He beat boxers like Roberto Duran He was unlucky to have been born in the era of Hearns and Leonard but he dominated the Latin boxing world in his day. On defense he was a showman and had great agility in the ring. He is a very good boxer. He is a tie with the Starling.
