Today I decided to create a more detailed post on NFTMart, which I think is a great place to buy and sell Rising Star Cards.

We will be going through how to buy Rising Star Cards in detail in this post. I will go through the various options that I know of, and explain what I think of them.

How to Buy

Option 1: Use the Rising Star Game Market Place

If you are relatively new to the Rising Star Game, you will know that there is a Marketplace in game.
You will need to go the Card icon at the top, then click on "Marketplace".

The screen looks like this:

You can buy cards by clicking on the "Buy" button. Notice there is a "Cancel", that is a card that you are selling and you can remove it. Haha, yes, I am selling a Fanboost100 for 35000 DEC, that card will be sitting there forever lol. What was I thinking...

There is a Filter where you can search for the cards you want, if you know the name.

This marketplace is a big improvement from the first iteration of the marketplace, however, it is still difficult to use especially if you want to purchase bulk cards.

Option 2: Purchase Cards from your Card Collection Area:

You can also go into your card collection area :

Navigate to the Cards that you want to buy. For example, I am missing the Private Yacht card, so I clicked on it.

There are 2 tabs: "My Cards" and "Market"

Click on "Market"

You will see that there are currently 2 sellers of this card:

• Travelgirl - 600 SWAP.HIVE
• ecuaminte - 350 SWAP.HIVE

So the cheapest for this card is currently at 350 SWAP.HIVE

I think this is a better place to buy cards than the market place especially if you know what you need to buy. The image of the card is also shown in the area. So if you are purchasing single cards, it is not bad to use the Card Collection Page.

Option 3: Purchase using NFTMart

I think NFTMart in general is a great place to buy cards, whether it be Single or Bulk. However as mentioned before, if you are just purchasing singles, the Card Collection option may be sufficient.

You will need to Login. I use Hive KeyChain for this. Once logged in, you will see the screen below:

There is a nice filtering function on NFT Mart, say I want to filter out all the cards that are listed below 1000 Starbits:

And then click Apply...

Now you just simply click the cards you want to buy, as easy as that...

Okay so I clicked 10 cards... Total is 5000 Starbits... I have 10k Starbits so I have enough.

Once I am happy, I press the Cart icon, and confirm on Hive Key Chain, and bam... those cards are in my inventory...

Simple right... much better than clicking and confirming 10 times on the in-game marketplace. Imagine you have to do that 100 times, you will probably go crazy.

Option 4: Purchase Cards OTC

This option is a generally not recommended as there is a degree of trust that you have to place on the seller. If the seller does not send you the cards afterwards, then the only thing you can do is to alert other users of the seller.

This is generally the case when there is a specific card that you want but it is not listed, OR you think the market price is too expensive and want to negotiate.

In that case, you can try using the "trading zone" in the Rising Star Game Discord.

In there, you can offer prices and find people who are selling cards. Then you will probably go into their DMs and negotiate a price that you both are comfortable with.

Note: However, even in these cases, it is best to deal with a reputable seller. Maybe keep your chats in the trading-zone, or look for sellers who have sold before and no buyers have complained. There is no full-proof way, the main thing is to be careful.
