I remember the first time someone told me about Jim, it was in art school and some were commenting on a movie that they saw and it impacted them; the film in question was Coffee and Cigarettes from 2003. Basically the film is the daily life of many of us, coffee and cigarettes and various conversations, the only difference was that Roberto Benigni, Steve Buscemi, Bill Murray appeared in the film. The wonderful thing was to capture it, like that in that way as great as Jim, and although he had already several movies, I knew him in this film.

Recuerdo la primera vez que me dijeron sobre Jim, estaba en la escuela de arte y algunos comentaban sobre una película que vieron y les impactó; la película en cuestión era Coffee and Cigarettes del 2003. Básicamente la película es la vida cotidiana de muchos de nosotros, café y cigarro y conversaciones variadas, la única diferencia era que en la película aparecian Roberto Benigni, Steve Buscemi, Bill Murray. Lo maravilloso era plasmarlo así de esa forma tan genial como Jim, y si bien ya tenía camino recorrido antes, pues yo lo conocí en este filme.

El cine tiene un mundillo en el que los críticos se dedican a catalogar a su forma; Jarmusch a pesar de que lo encasillen en un cine independiente él se considera a si mismo un artesano, dónde su obra de arte no está pulida sino como construida en un garage, su objetivo no es alcanzar el realismo óptico como lo plasma el cine comercial. Jim se considera a si mismo un diletante de forma positiva, y eso se nota en su trabajo como cineasta.
Stranger than Paradise was the Golden Camera at the Cannes Film Festival, released in 1984 and was produced for $ 125,000 USD; but Jim's mastery showed that a trip by three young people with their dry humorous tone could break with many Hollywood film traditionalisms. I personally love Only Lovers Left Alive from 2013, starring Tilda Swinton who just love her and Tom Hiddleston who is a genius; I will not say much for you to see, it is a story told through abundant artistic references and the mastery of the soundtrack is unmatched.

Stranger than Paradise fue Cámara de Oro del Festival de Cannes, estrenada en 1984 y fue producida con 125000 USD; pero la maestría de Jim mostró que un viaje de tres jóvenes con su tono de humor seco podía y pudo romper con muchos tradicionalismos del cine en Hollywood. Según la crítica de Sundance su película Paterson del 2016 presentada en Cannes va siendo parte de una de las mejores películas de lo que va de milenio. Personalmente amo Only Lovers Left Alive de 2013, protagonizada por Tilda Swinton que simplemente la amo y Tom Hiddleston que es un genio; no diré mucho para que la vean, es una historia contada a través de abundantes referencias artísticas y la maestría de la banda sonora no tiene comparación.

Jim Jarmusch is everything that is good in the cinema, I highly recommend seeing a couple of his films and see if it changes our vision or if it bores us.
Jim Jarmusch es todo lo que está bien en el cine, recomiendo altamente verse un par de sus películas y ver si nos cambia la visión o si nos aburre.

Explico: mi contenido está armado de las horas de lectura y estudio que tengo en mi vida, no copio y pego, de las cosas que hablo tengo total conocimiento y las fotos que no son de mi autoría siempre tendrán en el código el link original y de ser de algún colega lo pondré en el subtítulo de la imagen. El texto lo escribo completamente, lo traduzco y edito, es un trabajo diario y constante. Si alguien desea que le pase los libros, películas y demás contenido grueso de dónde viene mi conocimiento, lo puede dejar en un comentario y con gusto se los paso. Por favor, antes de dar un DV revise su contenido primero y el de la persona en cuestión, no se puede andar por la vida criticando sin ser autosuficiente suficiente.
