Photography is part of me, it is that second of beauty that my eyes managed to capture. But our eyes deceive us a lot, there are things that they do not see as we already know, and that is where photography may be able to recreate an entire parallel reality that we do not know at first glance.
La fotografía es parte de mí, es aquel segundo de belleza que mis ojos lograron captar. Pero nuestros ojos nos engañan mucho, existen cosas que ellos no ven como ya sabemos, y es ahí dónde la fotografía puede ser capaz de recrear toda una realidad paralela que desconocemos a simple vista.
Physiogram, better known as light painting, is a photography technique as old as photography itself, from the late nineteenth century, and basically it is an image of a moving light source in an environment where there is as little light as possible.

Pintar con luz o fisiograma, más conocido por light painting es una técnica de fotografía tan antigua como la fotografía misma, viene de finales del siglo XIX, y básicamente es una imagen de una fuente de luz en movimiento en un ambiente que exista la menor luz posible.
When I was studying photography I always wanted to experiment with this technique, it seems to me the greatest thing to spend a part of the night in the experimentation of a whole world that we can create. There are many objects that can be bought for make the light painting, but when you do not have the money to buy all that, then you can manage it.
Cuando estudiaba fotografía siempre quise experimentar esta técnica, me parece lo más genial para pasar una parte de la noche en la experimentación de todo un mundo que podemos crear. Existen muchos objetos que se pueden comprar para que el light painting nos quede más que genial, pero cuando no se tiene el dinero para comprar todo eso pues se las ingenia uno.
What do we need to do this light painting?
-Night time and patience
-Camera (that has manual mode)
-Tripod (very important)
-A pack of aluminum or steel wool cleaning sponge
-A rope to tie the sponge
-An assistant to handle the sponge
¿Qué necesitamos para hacer este light painting?
-Tiempo de noche y paciencia
-Cámara (que tenga modo manual)
-Trípode (muy importante)
-Un paquete de esponja de limpiar aluminio o lana de acero
-Una cuerda para atar la esponja
-Un asistente para que manipule la esponja
Steel wool / Lana de acero
We choose the place we want, taking into account that small sparks will fly. First we place the tripod at the distance we want, then we adjust the camera well and make sure that it does not move in any way, when taking a long exposure image if the camera emits the slightest movement, the image will be out of focus. It is vitally important to block the camera mirror, if you do not know how to do it, ask someone who knows your equipment better, read the instruction manual or google. It is important that the mirror is on top because otherwise when you shoot the camera it will move and the image will be out of focus.
Elegimos el lugar que deseamos, tener en cuenta que saltarán pequeñas chispas. Primero colocamos el trípode a la distancia que deseamos, luego ajustamos bien la cámara y nos aseguramos que no se mueva de ninguna forma, al realizar una imagen de larga exposición si la cámara emite el menor movimiento nos quedará desenfocada la imagen. Es de vital importancia bloquear el espejo de la cámara, sino sabes como hacerlo pregunta a alguien que conozca mejor tu equipo, lee el manual de instrucciones o sino google. Es importante que el espejo quede arriba porque sino cuando dispare la cámara este se va a mover y quedará la imagen desenfocada.

With the camera in manual now we are going to adjust it with the values we need. I must clarify that everyone is manipulating the camera depending on what they want to achieve, here I will only tell you how to take an amateur photograph and from there I advise experimentation. Put the lens in manual focus, activate the screen mode to focus from the camera screen more effectively, if you have good eyesight you may be able to focus from the camera viewfinder. I highly recommend using the screen for focus, as on the screen you can zoom to the exact point you want to focus on.

Con la cámara en manual ahora vamos a ajustarla con los valores que necesitamos. Debo aclarar que cada cual va manipulando la cámara en dependencia de lo que desea lograr, aquí sólo les diré cómo realizar una fotografía amateur y de ahí les aconsejo la experimentación. Poner el lente en foco manual, activar el modo pantalla para realizar el enfoque desde la pantalla de la cámara de forma más efectiva, si tienes buena vista quizás puedas enfocar desde el visor de la cámara. Recomiendo altamente usar la pantalla para el enfoque, ya que en la pantalla puedes hacer zoom al punto exacto que deseas enfocar.

Once you have these values adjusted, if you do not have an external trigger, my recommendation is that you configure it to fire after 5 seconds. Now, our assistant ties the sponge to the rope and when we are sure that we are going to shoot the sponge it lights up, that is, it sets fire to it. Those who help us, with the sponge on, will circle it in front of it, even if it is already off, they should only stop when they hear that the camera has finished taking the image or at our indication. Safety is important when using flammable objects. When you finish capturing the long exposure, we review and repeat until we achieve the desired effect. It is key to be patient, try it more than once and experiment.
Una vez que tengas estos valores ajustados, sino tienes un disparador externo mi recomendación es que configures para disparar luego de 5 segundos. Ahora bien, nuestro asistente ata la esponja a la cuerda y cuando estemos seguros que vamos a disparar la esponja se enciende, o sea se le prende fuego. Quien nos ayuda, con la esponja encendida le dará vueltas en círculos enfrente, incluso aunque ya esté apagada, sólo debe parar cuando escuche que la cámara terminó de tomar la imagen o por nuestra indicación. Es importante el tema de la seguridad a la hora de usar objetos inflamables. Cuando termine de captar la larga exposición, revisamos y repetimos hasta lograr el efecto deseado. Es clave tener paciencia, intentarlo más de una vez y experimentar.

Personally, I really like teaching this technique because it is another way of knowing our equipment, many colleagues sin to use the automatic all the time. If you are starting in photography, know your equipment and never work with equipment that you do not know, each camera has its things to get used to.
Personalmente me gusta mucho enseñar esta técnica porque es una forma más de conocer nuestros equipos, muchos colegas pecan de usar el automático todo el tiempo. Si estás iniciando en la fotografía conoce tu equipo y nunca realices encargo con equipos que no conoces, cada cámara tiene sus cosas para acostumbrarse.

What an article and what a teaching on how to make Art steel from wool and to me this update as really show how to use and make me know much about adjusting my camera to get what I want and how to make use of some equipment in achieving the desire result
