Weston Wilson completes 10th Cycle in Phils History Thursday, Trea Turner Hits a Walkoff on Friday - PHILS HAVE WON THREE STRAIGHT
It's been a much more fun couple of days for the Phillies! This team is starting to look dangerous again. The competition has not been stellar but, could be worse. Gotta beat the teams you're supposed to beat, these games still count.
Thursday the team utterly destroyed the Nationals. Just played outstanding dominant ball throughout the entire game. The Phils scored runs in fifty percent of their chances. It was a really beautiful game to watch. Every single starting Philly batter recorded a hit. With a grand total of seventeen hits, three homers. Turner had three hits and Weston Wilson had four.
Wilson's performance in particular made this game a lot more memorable, because Wilson actually hit for a CYCLE. Some say the Cycle is an overrated stat but I don't think so personally. It obviously does take skill and it displays a pretty well rounded batter, and player as a whole as it does require a certain level of speed even if there was an error or something like that. Also, the cycle is just pretty rare and fun. All in all I am a fan of the cycle. Wilson's cycle was the tenth in Phillies history! So glad I watched.

Yesterday's game I actually missed unfortunately. Was at the gym with a buddy. Still I was mildly aware from checking my phone. It was not a high scoring game but it was much more competitive and suspenseful overall. The Phillies controlled the game with a slim 2-0 lead for a HUGE majority of the game. Until the ninth inning when Phillies pitcher Carlos Estevez blew the lead and allowed the Nats to tie it up. Yikes. Estevez has been struggling...
Still, Turner saved the day in the end as he came up clutch with a powerful game winning hit that was nearly a GRAND SLAM.

Two fun games in a row, three wins in a row. Fun times!! Let's hope the Phillies can keep stringing these wins together. Phils are up eight on the Braves in the NL East and a game back of the most wins in baseball, with 72 as of this moment.
Big sports night!!! Phillies, Titans, UFC, let's go!
