Titans vs 49ers Preview - Thursday Night Football! 🍿🏈🔥

Man, here we are again just four days later. Tonight, the San Francisco 49ers make the roughly 2,300 mile long trip to Nashville to face the Titans on Thursday Night Football. Hopefully the long trip on a short week for the Niners, plays in the Titans favor. Although I think the Niners stay in West Virginia for East Coast games.... Whatever LOL.

Once again, just like on Sunday, I'm ridiculously nervous for this game. The Titans have had a strong season, but the bottom line is the team has looked shaky in recent weeks. What makes me especially nervous in this matchup is the simple fact that I believe the 49ers are built similar to the Titans and the Steelers. The Titans just lost to the Steelers on Sunday. Like the Titans and the Steelers, the 49ers seem physical, tough, and gritty. Well coached.

Titans WR Julio Jones is an absolute enigma, he missed the entire second half last week in an already injury riddled season. Somehow though, Julio is actually expected to play tonight. I have no idea what to expect from him but the Titans offense does seem a little bit better when Julio plays.

In even better Titan WR news, one of my favorite Titans A.J. Brown is set to return tonight! Man, I don't know how close he is to one hundred percent, but I am seriously hoping he goes off tonight. He's capable of it and he's due!

Having both A.J. and Julio on the field is pretty good news. They might not be one hundred percent, I don't know. But hopefully they can play well enough, grind through the game, and have a few extra days of rest going into next week.

But of course there is some bad news.....

The Titans offensive line has already been playing super sketchy lately, and now tonight the left side of the o-line will be without starting left tackle Taylor Lewan, and starting left guard Roger Saffold. Not only is it simply bad to have more starters out in general, but Lewan and Saffold are the Titans best offensive lineman in general.

That's rough. Hopefully A.J. and Julio can make up for those losses?
Let's go with that...

Honestly, this is going to be a really tough game for the Titans. The 49ers are coming in hot and hungry for a win as they have a lot to play for in their NFC playoff situation.

The 49ers have got a more than respectable offense with QB Jimmy G playing well, and TE George Kittle clearly healthy for the first time in a good while. Titans defense needs to be as good as they have been recently.

Recently, the 49ers simply have been playing well, while the Titans simply haven't. That's basically a big reason why I'm nervous.

The Titans can't keep shooting themselves in the foot. There have been too many unforced errors in a lot of these recent losses for the Titans.

The Titans must keep the Colts off their heels in the AFC South division. If the Titans win tonight and the Colts lose against the Cardinals later this week, the Titans become AFC South Champs.

Last I heard the Titans still have a thirteen percent chance to grab the AFC #1 Seed. So there's that too.

This game will be tough and I really have zero expectations.

All I know is, the Titans will play hard as they always do and I'm sure this will probably be a good game. If anyone watches, enjoy!
