Titans manage to take an L in the offseason with awful logo/uniform change + they make a ton of free agency moves
Titans: have the coolest logo in the NFL
Absolutely nobody:
Titans: Let's completely destroy it!
This is a major major downgrade. The secondary logos are ok, but the main one is just nuts. It looks like a fourth grader made it. They must have changed this because they wanted to save money on ink on merch.

The fireball logo was just clean, just iconic. I will not be removing it from my Titans blogs anytime soon. It was why I became a fan as a kid. I feel like it's a part of me. I personally put it up there with the Chicago Bulls and Las Vegas Raiders logos both of which I am a fan of.
The fireball logo was instantly recognizable, just sharp. This new one looks like someone made it in a graphics app on their phone. Lacks soul in any way. It looks utterly lazy and weak. There's like zero color to it. What is going on??? What are the team's colors now? Powder blue and white? I guess red too.
Ugh, I am disturbed.
I'll get over it because well, what else am I going to? I'm a Titans fan for life. They do at least have the coolest throwback logo now.
I guess it's hard to hate the new logo itself because it's utterly harmless and basic. It's kind of hard to hate itself, I just hate the change. They could have kept the fireball but lessened the coloring or something.
If the Titans win in this new logo it will obviously look more attractive HA. Winning does help of course.
Ugh, I guess the more I look at it, the less I am completely angered, but it's gonna take a long time for me to be totally over it.
I guess it's kinda cool that the coloring looks similar to the Oilers colors. The T is similar to the Titans fireball and the stars are similar as well. Meh.
Every franchise changes and alters their logos over time. It was fun while it lasted. Life is about change I guess. It's impossible to avoid change.
But I didn't want to let these feelings go undocumented. I don't support this change but, I cannot control this of course.
Luckily I recently received an Amazon gift card. I'm gonna try to buy some cards or some type of merch with the fireball logo. It's not a huge gift card and I need to buy some things but, I'll figure something out.
Pain. In my soul. My head hurts. Gross. AHHHHHHH.
LOL, I'll get over it soon. I love the Titans way too much. The uniforms aren't bad, the logo will grow on me. Could be worse.

Anyway, actual football news that looks mostly promising.
The Titans had the most cap space in the league and boy they are spending like crazy. It's really going to be a whole new team next year and the draft is still around the corner.
Might as well just jump into these signings. I'll try to cover the most noteworthy ones, there's been a ton of moves and it doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.
Titans sign WR Wan'Dale Robinson to a four-year contract
- Robinson just came off his first 1,000 yard receiving season, is only 25 years old, and knows Brian Daboll well. Very solid signing, in a perfect world Robinson can be similar to Julian Edelman.
Titans sign QB Mitchell Trubisky to a two-year contract
- I love this signing. The Titans instantly possibly have the best backup QB in the game. I like Cam Ward but it's no sure thing he's the guy yet. Trubisky adds a lot of healthy pressure to Ward. Ryan Tannehill came in in a similar fashion and found success with the Titans. The modern NFL sees a lot of QBs in general have awesome rebirths in the second half of their careers. Geno Smith and of course Sam Darnold are good examples. Awesome security here.
Titans sign DL John Franklin-Meyers to a three-year contract
- This is a big signing. He's very similar to Jeffery Simmons which I love. The Titans doubling down on a strength. Simmons and Franklin-Meyers both were top five in pressure rate last season, having them both on the same defensive line could be elite.
Titans sign cornerback Alontae Taylor to a three-year contract
- Taylor is a former Saint of four years, only 27 years old. He's like a notch below a Pro Bowl level player. A good quality starter for sure. Has solid size.
Titans Acquire Jermaine Johnson from Jets for T'Vondre Sweat
- I always had respect for T'Vondre Sweat. I think he will be a quality player for a long time, but I feel as though his ceiling is limited maybe. Jermaine Johnson II was a Pro Bowler in 2023. He reminds me a bit of former Titan Harold Landry III. The Titans needed help at edge and Johnson looks solid if he can stay healthy.
Titans sign punter Tommy Townsend to a two-year contract
- Townsend is a former Pro Bowler, First-Team All-Pro and 2x Super Bowl Champ. A good punter is a a serious weapon.
Other notable signings include:
- TE Daniel Bellinger
- DL Solomon Thomas
- OLB Jacob Martin
- G Cordell Volson
- CB Cor'Dale Flott
- CB Joshua Williams
- DE Malik Herring
Pretty exciting stuff! There's an interesting mix of players who played for/were associated with Robert Saleh, Brian Daboll, and Mike Borgonzi.
Of course a sheer volume of players doesn't always equate to wins, but a lot of these guys seem promising. Gotta start somewhere! Again, with the Draft around the corner, things will hopefully be looking up!
Less than six months until Titans football!
