Titans lose to the Jets 24-17
Welp, it feels strange to post about the Titans after writing about the Phillies. The Phillies are arguably the best team in baseball, while the Titans are one of the worst teams in football. That's life in a way I guess? Ups and downs? I dunno, but I do know the Titans are playing just annoyingly bad football. Not even actually horrible, but bad enough, consistently.
This Titans-Jets game was kind of exactly like the Titans-Bears game. The Titans are scrappy, do a few things well. But boneheaded mistakes just kill the team.
ANOTHER insane decision by Levis to lateral the ball backwards deep in the redzone that turned the ball over was just laughable. ANOTHER blocked punt also! TWO WEEKS IN A ROW PEOPLE.
Really treacherous happenings. The Titans had a chance to tie it up at the end, but couldn't.
The Titans are 0-2. With, just off the top of my head, four critical mistakes that, ideally if your team is competent, rarely happen let alone in two weeks.
It's possible the Titans are 2-0 if they just don't do dumb crap. But dumb crap they did, and 0-2 they are.
NOW, the freaking Packers come to town. A Malik Willis led Packers team. EXTREMELY recently a Titan Malik Willis who is playing in Green Bay due to Jordan Love's injury.
Potential disaster is written all over the walls here. Malik knows the system in Tennessee. Malik was QB3 in Tennessee and written off by many. Malik Just WON last week against the Packers. If the Titans go 0-3 against a QB that was just here.... YIKES.
This would be highly embarrassing. But yeah. No matter what I will be here to ramble and whine. Or maybe even celebrate. That would be nice.
The team just has to step up. Figure it out. That simple. Both games have been extremely winnable. Let's WIN these types of games. Will Levis had a few good plays, had a brief moment of clutchness late in the game. The defense was good enough overall. The team just has to put it all together.
