Titans lose to Chargers last week and fall to 1-8 heading into bye week
Life has gotten busier lately, my internet connection has been an issue, and the Titans have been awful once again. So in general my writing has slown a bit but I'll always try to be active as possible for the most part. Hopefully with a stronger connection possibly coming around the corner and all in all with me getting used to the new routine I'll be as active as usual soon. But for now I'm not rushing it. Just going with the flow basically. Still so annoyed about my 'The Machine' video giving me problems. LAME. Might have to just upload those videos when I have higher speeds. That's life sometimes. Not always easy.
Anyway, regarding the Titans, last week's game was semi-watchable. The defense had a nice pick-six by linebacker Cody Barton and rookie Chimere Dike had a sweet 67 yard punt return for a touchdown! In such a depressing season moments like these make the season at least pretty fun at times.
Offensively though, the Titans couldn't score a single touchdown which was annoying. They managed two field goals and were stuffed at the one yard line. Also throughout the game the Titans decided to do several direct snaps to the running back to I guess try and be creative but those just ended up looking really bad in the end. It was so annoying they kept trying this. Wild.
Cam Ward looked mildly more composed but still wasn't too inspiring. Maybe I'm being to hard on him but I don't know. We're now over halfway through the season. He is a rookie but the quarterback is always naturally going to have high expectations and he was the number one overall pick. Hopefully this bye week helps him regroup and perhaps he was humbled a bit as well based on how the first half of the year went. Cam said Cam Newton and Michael Vick were some of his favorite players but he also literally refuses to run the ball ever. He's just been a bit underwhelming. Hopefully the Titans can get some better receivers in the coming years too because I'll admit Cam doesn't have the greatest or most proven weapons.
Many of the Titans YouTubers I watch are already talking about the 2026 NFL Draft. It should come as no surprise as recently the team has already traded CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. in September, CB Roger McCreary a few days before Halloween, and now just a few days ago the team traded OLB Dre'Mont Jones all for draft picks. While some pick positions aren't finalized until the season ends, the Titans appear to have nine picks in the 2026 Draft and at this rate they're pretty much locked into a top three position in the Draft if they keep playing this badly. They could EASILY have the top spot again.
When the Titans return to action it will be against the Texans. That should be interesting.
This week though I can enjoy the games without watching the Titans get crushed! HA.
