The Machine NBA2K25 Career Pt. 45 + 🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎
January 24th, 2025 - Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
The Machine Rings the Bell!

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Donovan Mitchell came to The City of Brotherly Love for a basketball battle back in early 2025. The Machine always loved Mitchell's game and felt that he's always been seriously underrated.
It was hard to score a ton on Mitchell, but the Machine managed to have a decent game, especially from a passing perspective. He finished with a double double in the victory over the Cavs! He finished with:
- 19 Points, 3 Rebounds, 10 Assists
- Teammate Grade: A-
🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎
In the real world, there's a UFC Fight Night today, and there's been some interesting basketball and football news.
The UFC goes down in London which is always pretty cool. The card is PACKED with European fighters.
Michael 'Venom' Page is fighting and he's always an excellent watch. Definitely a legend of MMA and is capable of beating practically anyone. He is sort of a high level journeyman at this point. That makes him pretty unique, he's basically strengthening his legacy and fattening his bank account at this point. He fights at both welterweight and middleweight with no real sense of urgency towards becoming a champion as far as I can tell. I imagine he gets it done versus Sam Patterson.
The main event looks excellent. It's a fight between #1 ranked featherweight Mosvar Evloev out of Russia, and #3 ranked featherweight Lerone Murphy out of England. These guys are scary good, this is going to be massively important for the fate of their careers and this historically epic division.
Lerone Murphy is undefeated and looked excellent vs Aaron Pico in his last fight. Before Pico, Murphy beat Edson Barboza, Dan Ige, and Josh Emmett in that order. He's simply a great talent.
Mosvar Evloev is ALSO undefeated with a string of outstanding wins too! He's beaten names like Dan Ige, Diego Lopes, Arnold Allen, and Aljamain Sterling! That's an epic list himself.
Evloev is a SUPER high caliber wrestler, and Murphy is a well-rounded EXCEPTIONAL athlete. I'm pumped for this one. I think Murphy gets it done, but no result would shock me except maybe an Evloev knockout.
In the NFL, defensive end Maxx Crosby was ALMOST traded to the Ravens in what was, for a moment in time, massive news. Crosby was to be sent from Las Vegas to Baltimore for two first round picks which many people questioned. I thought is was a solid trade, because I believe Crosby is excellent. BUT the Ravens did not choose to finalize the trade because of doubts about his knee, which Crosby recently had surgery on. It seemed very weird on all sides as Crosby and many people believe his knee will be fine.

In the end, Crosby remains is Las Vegas and the Ravens ended up signing a very similar talent in defensive end Trey Hendrickson.
Just a wild bit of news. Crosby might be happy in the end since the Raiders could be on the way to turning the franchise around if projected first overall pick in QB Fernando Mendoza ends up being a great QB.
For Trey Hendrickson, he gets to play against the Bengals twice a year which I'm sure he's excited about. The Bengals absolutely disrespected the heck out of Hendrickson who has produced at an elite level. Those games should be good.
I think both Crosby and Hendrickson have plenty of motivation heading into 2026-27.
In the NBA, Heat center Bam Adebayo scored an absurd 83 points on March 10th vs the Wizards. His 83 points is second all-time in NBA history for most points in a single game. I think this was super impressive and fun! Adebayo passed Kobe Bryant's 81 points which some were mad about, but I think that's beyond silly!
Bam had a ridiculous 43 free throw attempts and I guess I get why some people question it but, how do the Wizards keep fouling that man? LOL. Also, most of the time, I'm a believer in bottom lines when it comes to sports. Bottom line is Bam COOKED on that night and it was fun to see.
Also, some people are surprised Bam did this, but I think Bam has always been very very underrated so I am not as shocked as everyone else.
Good stuff!!! History!
