The Machine NBA2K25 Career Pt. 43 + 🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎
January 19th, 2025 - Philadelphia 76ers @ Milwaukee Bucks

The Machine and the Sixers traveled to Wisconsin and handled business in what was a pretty strong defensive contest.
Once again, the Machine scored 20+ points but he didn't contribute too well in many other categories. Luckily it wasn't needed and the Sixers found victory still.
Just another day at the office in what is becoming an excellent rookie season.
The Machine finished with:
- 21 Points, 1 Rebound, 3 Assists
- Teammate Grade: B+
He's firmly in line for rookie of the year!
🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎
In the real world, it's the final day of February. The NBA playoffs are right around the corner, baseball is around the corner, NFL Draft talk continues to build, and there's a UFC Fight Night tonight!
Oh yeah, and USA WON GOLD AT THE OLYMPICS IN ICE HOCKEY!!!🦅 In men's AND women's competitions!!
WHAT THE FUCK IS A KILOMETER??? bald eagle screech, generic American noises
Not a massive hockey fan, but won't be mad if the sport gets bigger in the states. EPIC moment!! Proud of the boys. 46 years in the making.

So Sean Strickland defeated Anthony Hernandez last week. Strickland is a nut! I know his victory annoyed tons of people.

LOL, just jokes. I truly am a fan of both fighters, this fight was really excellent. I'm glad Strickland stays in the title mix, and I'm certain Hernandez has a bright future still.
As crazy as Strickland can be on the mic, he can be pretty classy too. He legit gave Hernandez constructive critique while giving him props. Called him a great man and it seemed like he meant it.

I love what Hernandez said in the lead up when it comes to his mentality in a fight. He said that he wants his opponent to 'hate their life'. Savage. I think he'll learn a lot from this defeat.
I actually leaned towards Hernandez to win this one, but only slightly. Strickland reminded everyone just how dangerous he is.
Tonight, the UFC travels to Mexico for what looks to be a decent enough Fight Night.
It's absolutely filled to the brim with lighter weight bouts which is interesting.
Marlon 'Chito' Vera and King Green are some notable fighters on this card. They're not fighting each other but, I enjoy watching those guys fight for sure.
Former Men's Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno is set to fight which should be cool. I haven't seen him fight in awhile and he always puts on a fun performance. He was set to face the #8 guy but he pulled out, so now he's set to face an unranked English dude named Lone'er Kavanagh. Kavanagh will be on Moreno's home soil with a chance to change the trajectory of his life and leap into the top ten. Moreno is risking a lot by taking this fight but I imagine he'll win. Kavanagh is six years younger so there's that in his favor. I'm picking Moreno because I don't know a thing about Kavanagh and Moreno is a beast.
In the NBA, there's a lot more competition this season than there was last season. Cade Cunningham is a BEAST and the Pistons are rolling, the Thunder still look dangerous, and the Spurs are going to be a problem as well.
James Harden joined his 94th team in his career as he was traded to the Cavs. He's looked ok, but I'm sure he'll fade into nothingness come playoff time. I know the NBA is a business and everything but meh, I just respect loyalty a lot. Like yes players can change teams but I feel like once you're on your fourth team or more it's hard for me to consider you a true all-time great.
Kawhi Leonard all of a sudden has shown signs of life with the Clippers. He's got to be the most randomly dominant player I've ever seen. Super confusing. He's 34 years old now and I'm curious to see what he's got left in the tank. His attitude is strange, and he can be a bit injury prone but I love his game.
The NFL Draft will be here before we know it. Apparently this draft class is weak at QB, but strong at wide receiver and edge. I'm very intrigued by Sonny Styles, the linebacker out of Ohio State. He had an excellent combine.

Baseball starts in 25 days! I'm looking forward to many relaxing summer afternoons and nights. Time flies, let's see if the Dodgers can repeat as champions or if another team will rise! I'm curious to see Pete Alonso in an Orioles uniform.
