Sixers are victorious in Indiana | Last regular season game for the 76ers tonightšthey're at home vs Bucks
The Sixers handled business against the Pacers as they should have on Friday. It was a great game all around. Tyrese Maxey scored 32, Paul George added 21. Andre Drummond had 16 rebounds, V.J. Edgecombe had 9 rebounds, I'm always amazed how V.J. gets rebounds pretty consistently from the guard spot. Kelly Oubre Jr. had 4 steals. Just a clean effort all around.
Tonight the Sixers play in their season finale! Another regular season in the books. I'm grateful I was able to watch them for another season!
The Sixers will be playing the Bucks and the Bucks are in no man's land as a franchise, so it should be the Sixers 45th win which is respectable. They are locked in as a top eight team in the conference. It's mildly nice to think that they would have been a playoff team prior to when the league implemented a play-in tournament. Being a top eight team is fairly beneficial as well because they get to win once in the tournament and make it to the playoffs as the seventh seed which is a decent opportunity.
They technically have a slim chance at making it into the sixth seed today still but they need a ton of luck for that to become a reality.
It wasn't a great 2025-26 season, but it was enjoyable. Tyrese Maxey was great. V.J. Edgecombe had a tremendous rookie season. Joel Embiid played more than last year, and Paul George looked pretty good in these final couple of games.
There will be more Sixers basketball which is nice! Basketball that matters. I know this is a superstar driven league and everything but hey, let the Sixers get in and see what happens! Even with Embiid out they still have Maxey, George and Edgecombe. Plus, they're pretty used to playing without Embiid at this point. If the Sixers defy the odds and make it deep enough in the playoffs, Embiid could return I imagine.
I believe the Sixers play will likely play the Magic in the 7/8 seed game but we shall see!
