My oh my yesterday's game against the Braves was pretty epic. Great baseball all around by the Phillies. Three seems to be the magic number lately and credit has to go to the Phillies pitching. Getting wins two game in a row just scoring three runs is really nothing to shrug at. After Wheeler's solid performance Saturday, Nola did his part Sunday as he pitched six innings allowing only two runs and struck out an impressive nine batters. The Phillies offense came alive when they needed to though. Specifically, Nick Castellanos was THE MAN yesterday. With two outs, he drove in Turner and Harper in the sixth inning to tie the game 2-2. That was big for obvious reasons.

For the next FIVE innings the Braves and Phillies played at a stalemate until Mr. Clutch himself, Nick Castellanos, stepped to the plate, once again with two outs, and absolutely handled business.

Nick drove in every single run of the night for the Phillies. He has been on fire lately! So glad he's on this team.

This win all but locks up the NL East for the Phillies as the lead is now seven games.

The Phillies are 7-3 in their last ten games and have won their last three series in a row against the Royals, Astros, and Braves. Solid competition. Feels good man.

The team has a well deserved off day today before they head up north to face the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays only have 67 wins this year but that just means they must get the job done. Tyler Phillips hits the mound for the Phils and he seeks his fifth win of the season.

It's September now and even in PA it already feels mildly milder LOL. But in Canada this will be even more pronounced. By the game's conclusion tomorrow it could easily be in the low 60's. This could be a blessing because the Phillies will hopefully be playing DEEP into October. Good to get their bodies acclimated to the colder conditions a bit. The Phils will only be seeing the Blue Jays for a two game series.

Let's hope the boys stay hot.
