Yeah this Phillies offense is looking bad. I've spoken on this in several recent posts and it's only getting more obvious! TWO games in a row of scoring NOTHING. Sheesh. I can't even pinpoint one player whose to blame, the whole lineup has just felt average at BEST, and very recently it's looked awful.

The Phils are now 6-6 and about to play a very competent Arizona Diamondbacks team. The Diamondbacks are sending Michael Soroka out on the mound, and that's not a very exciting thought with this struggling offense. Soroka has looked sharp so far in 2026. Once upon a time seven years ago, Soroka was an All-Star for the Braves and finished sixth in Cy Young voting.

Soroka has been injured and on a downswing ever since but this could be a comeback year for him. He's only 28 years old and is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA to start the year. He's in the prime of his career and looking to revive himself. Scary thought to be honest.

Jesús Luzardo is on the mound which is decent, but unless he can hit some homers for the Phillies, it doesn't matter how well he pitches, LOL.

Let's see if the boys can turn it around vs Arizona. I really don't wanna see them drop below .500. Still 150 games left.

It's been rough but I still believe!

My batting in this game is typically fairly inconsistent since my controller is ancient and broken LOL. It is what it is, I just focus on timing and pitch selection, and I'm typically bad at that too. Still a fun time!
