Phillies get a SWEET win finally! + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 19

The Phillies slump has taken a small leave of absence, hopefully it's a permanent termination!

The Phillies had to really scratch and claw last night. They were down 3-0 right off the bat, the made it 3-2, only for the Marlins to then score two more to make it 5-2. Still, the Phillies were hanging around.

In the fourth inning, the Phillies managed to get the bases loaded and Kyle freaking Schwarber steps to the plate. Man, the entire stadium was HOPING for a grand slam. The odds were great with the already legendary power hitter and he DELIVERED! An opposite field jack and just like that with one swing of the bat the Phillies had a freaking lead! I was PUMPED! Grand Slams are always pretty epic, but a grand slam while down three? Doesn't get much better than that. A walk-off would really be the next best thing.

The Phillies not only won but they really earned this win. THIRTEEN hits throughout the team. Five players with two hits. Just great team baseball. Tyler Phillips has struggled but pitched barely good enough. Barely. Certainly needs to improve but thanks to the Phillies bats he did ok.

So the Phillies split the two game series with the Marlins and now have an extended series against the Nationals starting tonight in Philly. Zack Wheeler is on the mound. Phils face Mitchell Parker. It will be slightly warmer tonight in the mid-high 80's. The Nationals are a slightly below average team, somehow they still have a TINY shot at a Wild Card if they were to get hot. Let's hope NOT though. The Phillies gotta smash them and start going on a tear!
