Phillies get a nice 6-3 victory in Chicago yesterday!

Yesterday was more like it! Many Phillies fans were up in arms after Monday's game one loss vs the White Sox, but I wasn't as worried. People really love to panic about anything! I can overreact here or there about certain things when it comes to my favorite teams struggling, but sometimes fans can whine about nothing. In my gut, I wasn't too worried about the Phillies singular loss Monday. The White Sox aren't great but they are professionals and they've played fairly well since the All-Star break. Even if the Phillies somehow lose this series, which I think is unlikely, defeating the Red Sox and Yankees feels pretty great. I don't know. It would stink to lose to the White Sox but meh, I am not stressing too much. The only thing that does stress me a lot about this team is the bullpen. The Phillies bullpen stinks most of the time.

But yes, yesterday Jesús Luzardo bounced back with a nice performance on the mound. I'm not convinced he's out of this slump completely but it's nice to see him have a clean outing. Gotta start somewhere!

Kyle Schwarber hit ANOTHER BOMB yesterday! A 441 foot rocket! Schwarber has been pure cinema at the plate all season, but especially recently. He now has 37 homers, and that is the most homers by any Phillie ever before August 1st. Crazy! In my mind Jim Thome and Ryan Howard are some of the biggest Phillies sluggers I can recall, knowing he's outpacing those guys is really cool! Let's see how far he can push this! Brandon Marsh also hit his fourth homer of the year, he's been pretty consistent lately!

Taijuan Walker is on the mound today. I don't wanna speak too soon, but Walker has shown a decent level of reliability lately. Hopefully he can continue throwing well today!
