My GOODNESS the suffering is OVER. After ten miserable games of sadness, the Phillies have got themselves a W!!!
It certainly did not come easy whatsoever as the game was not only delayed but it also went into extras! So they really earned this one no doubt about it. In the tenth inning they jumped all over the Braves though and scored four runs immediately to pretty much seal the deal.

The Phillies had eleven hits and an incredible three triples! Not a single homer. Just shows that it was really a team win. One triple was normal, another one was as a result of the Braves' left fielder missing the ball on a dive, and the third was because the Braves' center fielder slipped on the wet grass as the rain was off and on all night. The only Phillie to not record a hit or reach base was Alec Bohm, but every other Phillie got themselves at least one knock. Bryce Harper continues to stay consistent and had 4 RBI yesterday and was just really clutch.
Zack Wheeler had a decent season debut for sure. He got through five innings of work and allowed just two runs. He struggled with his pitch count as some innings took a lot of work, but he looked like himself for the most part especially in his first start against a hot Braves team!
Wheeler is back, Stubbs is getting some playing time, the Phillies have a win. Let's GO.
With a win this afternoon the Phillies can win the series and get their tenth win. Double digits baby! LOL.
It's just one win. The crawl back to .500 is going to be tough but as I always say ya gotta start somewhere.
Aaron Nola takes the mound tonight, he hasn't looked too hot lately but maybe he can feed off the recent decent vibes. It may have just been one win after the losing streak, but the two games prior the Phillies have been fighting well. Maybe Nola can fight tonight too.
The past three games the Phillies have averaged 6 runs offensively. It will be tough to replicate that type of output with Braves' ace Chris Sale on the mound tonight.
Every game has been tough though, so who cares! Lock in boys, let the comeback begin!
