Phillies drop series opener vs the Braves, need a win tonight! + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 21

The Phillies have now lost two in a row after losing 3-1 to the Braves yesterday. Their now six game Division lead feels fairly shaky unless they can get the next two wins in a row here against Atlanta.

I suppose there was one good aspect of the game last night. Zack Wheeler pitched a respectable outing so he's still looking sharp. He threw eight strikeouts in six innings and allowed just two runs.

The main problem was the offense. The Braves' Reynaldo Lopez threw ten strikeouts in just FIVE innings pitched. The Phils just couldn't find offense even after Lopez departed, one run is not going to cut it. The Phillies' one-two-three batters all in Schwarber, Turner, and Harper all went 0-4.

Tonight another Phillies ace pitches in Aaron Nola. Nola looks for his twelfth win of the season. Hopefully he pitches well too and actually gets some run support.

Don't want to seem overly critical but, these Braves games are big! It will be perfect baseball weather again in Philly.

Hopefully the Phils enter the game locked in!!

GO PHILS!
