The Sixers have been a bit hot now!

They played their final game of January on Saturday vs the Pelicans and got it done fairly easily. Joel Embiid dropped 40 which led all scorers by a significant margin. Zion Williamson only managed to score 11. My biggest issue with Embiid has always been the mystery of his injury and not playing too often well, he's been playing and playing well and I'm grateful!

The Sixers then began February out in LA and the nice weather must have been good for them as they handled business in that game as well! The Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the league but the Sixers seemingly did not care. Embiid and Maxey had solid nights at the office but the player of the game may have been Dominic Barlow! Barlow scored a career-high 26 and also snagged 16 rebounds! With Paul George out for awhile guys like Barlow need to step up and I'm so glad he did! Barlow has been a terrific role player this season.

Tonight the Sixers remain out in California, this time up north to face the somewhat struggling Golden State Warriors. They've got a respectable 27-23 record but they have lost Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry is also out. The Warriors gave the Sixers a ton of trouble without certain top players active already earlier this year though so they can't take them lightly at all. The Sixers will be without Joel Embiid themselves too so that only makes finding victory a bit more challenging.

The Sixers remain in the sixth seed in the East with a 28-21 record. They are slightly more firmly in that seed now thanks to this recent string of wins which is nice.

Game's going down now!!
