76ers get much needed, dominant win over Kings | Team in Utah to face Jazz tonight

The Sixers breezed past the Kings without much issue to speak of on Thursday. V.J. Edgecombe had perhaps his best game as a professional as he dropped a career-high 38 points along with 7 rebounds, 11 assists, and 2 steals. He was hovering near triple-double territory and I was really hoping he'd reach 40 points! I'm very confident he'll have his fair share of 40 point games in the future. Justin Edwards also had a career-high as he scored 32! Definitely a memorable night in Sacramento for the Sixers!

Rookie V.J. Edgecombe has season averages of 15.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.4 steals! He's only missed seven games! Too good, the future is bright for him!

They really needed that win for many reasons too. As I have said many, many times now, the Sixers are missing several key players due to injury. Every win they can stack up at this point is a blessing, because after tonight the Sixers don't have many weak teams left on their schedule. Including tonight, the Sixers have twelve games remaining. In that time the Sixers are scheduled to face the Thunder, Hornets, Heat, Timberwolves, Pistons, Spurs, and Rockets. That's going to be really tough.

So I am definitely considering tonight's game against the 21-49 Jazz a must-win. It's really anyone's guess how many more victories the Sixers will get this season! So I am definitely going to try and enjoy tonight's contest as I do expect the Sixers to win. They should win, but of course the Jazz are professionals as well, and they aren't totally incapable by any means.

Looking at the Eastern conference, teams ranked 5-10 have 36-39 wins! Teams 6-9 all have 38 wins! It's pretty nuts to look at how tight this race still is.

Paul George is eligible to return March 25th, so that's a start.

But let's take it one game at a time!
