76ers get a scrappy victory vs Clippers, Raptors in town tonight

Man, the Sixers are just fun to watch in the early portion of the season and as of now, they seem to be an above average team to boot. This is just so great. The Sixers were down most of the game Monday but still found a way to win at the very end. James Harden loses in what was once his home arena. Paul George helps defeat his former team in his season debut. Beautiful.

Tyrese Maxey has been cooking and is primed to have a career year and it may seem unlikely now, but if he keeps this pace up and perhaps even ups his pace a notch, I won't be shocked to hear MVP whispers if this Sixers team really gets rolling. Tyrese Maxey is this team's ROCK right now. There's a lot of moving parts and inconsistency on this Sixers roster, but Maxey is really giving this squad some flow. He dropped 39 points on Monday vs the Clippers, scoring in practically every way imaginable. He looks like Allen Iverson/Kyrie Irving at this point in time, it's pretty incredible.

Andre Drummond might be one of the more underappreciated players on this team, he is like the perfect backup center, it's such a luxury. Really, he's a starter for like half the season at this point. He had a seriously epic 18 rebounds on Monday.

V.J. Edgecombe is looking like a mini Andre Iguodala lately and I'm not mad about it. He's actually finding himself a nice role as a do-it-all guard while Maxey is a traditional/score heavy point guard and Grimes is a traditional/score heavy shooting guard.

Tonight, the Sixers play the Raptors for the second time this season and look to go 2-0 against them. Paul George and Joel Embiid won't be playing but what else is new? LOL. The Raptors are actually 9-5 this year and surely want their tenth win and to even up the season series.

Should be a nice night.
