76ers fall to Pistons, look to bounce back against the Nets this afternoon

Yes well, as I predicted the Sixers couldn't replicate the success they had against the Grizzlies against the Pistons. But this wouldn't have taken a genius to predict. The Pistons are championship caliber and the Sixers are a glorified G League team at the moment with how many injuries they have.

But this afternoon the Sixers can try to grab a win and stay semi afloat until the Sixers can get get healthier. They are facing the 17 win Nets. After what the Sixers did against a better Grizzlies team, I'm hoping they can get it done.

Afternoon games are one thing, but having a game at 1 PM is particularly strange I feel. I feel that most NBA afternoon games take place at around 3 PM but perhaps my memory is just failing me. It is an interesting change of pace though.

Hopefully V.J. Edgecombe can gain some more valuable experience. Some people think Edgecombe shouldn't bother playing until more of the starters return but I disagree. Life isn't about waiting for the perfect timing or perfect moment. All experience is valuable at the end of the day. While things seem dire for the Sixers, they still can make the play-in and maybe even the playoffs if they got a few lucky victories and certain players return.

There is hope that Joel Embiid returns in the next week or so, so that's certainly a start!
