76ers drop third straight game vs Rockets | Team in Indianapolis to face Pacers tonight
The Sixers had an awkward game vs the Rockets yesterday. They were getting pretty much destroyed for a majority of the contest but made things really interesting with a fourth quarter surge. They were down as much as 28 but made it a 5 point game with 1:36 remaining in the game.
I'm pretty proud of the boys but unfortunately it wasn't good enough. Paul George had a rough game after a stretch of good ones. It would have been nice to see him play better vs Kevin Durant but it is what it is. Tyrese Maxey, V.J. Edgecombe, and Quentin Grimes combined for 64 points which is solid, and Andre Drummond grabbed an impressive 15 rebounds.
The Sixers' chances at grabbing a top six spot are rapidly dwindling. They were looking good for a minute but have lost three straight at a very bad time. Dang.
They still have a chance though, and luckily they play the Pacers and Bucks in these final games. They should finish with a 45-37 record. If they do, all they can do is hope the cookie crumbles in their favor. They still will be in the play-in!
Man, I can't believe the season is nearly over. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and spring is now here. Time flies man.
Playoff spots, storylines, to the side, I'm just grateful to watch the second to last Sixers game. Phillies are playing too. Rare times!
