76ers are victorious vs Suns, get wrecked by Trail Blazers | Knicks visit Philly tonight!
Well, life throws curveballs at me left and right man. It's been a bit rough personally but at least the Sixers play tonight as a light, brief distraction from all the chaos.
On Saturday the Sixers got a nice win over the Suns. It was basically the Tyrese-Joel show. They combined for 62 points which was nearly 57% of the Sixers' 109 points. Kelly Oubre Jr. also contributed 18 points of his own and showed Dillon Brooks that he was READY for any shenanigans or smoke he had to offer. Kelly is really one of my favorite players man!!
Kelly's toughness could certainly help the Sixers make a deep playoff run...

As good as Saturday's game was, Monday vs the Trail Blazers did not go well for the Sixers who were without Joel Embiid. It was competitive through two quarters but in the third quarter the Sixers just melted. The Trail Blazers outscored the Sixers 49-22 in the third. YIKES. Honestly, I did not really realize the Trail Blazers were actually a pretty decent squad. They're roughly a .500 squad in the West so, I'll have to respect them more going forward as a spectator.
Tonight, the Sixers come back home finally after a long stretch on the west coast to face the Knicks. Pretty fun matchup to finish the first half of the season! They'll be without Joel Embiid which definitely hurts the Sixers' chances but it is what it is. Maybe this extended break will be ideal for Joel and the Sixers in the long run! The Sixers will maintain their sixth seed win or loss though which is decent I suppose.
So yeah, the All-Star break begins after tonight. The Sixers are practically 65% done with their season and it's been a fun year so far. Looking forward to the All-Star game too which Tyrese Maxey will be starting in!
Gonna just thank God and enjoy the present!
