The reason why the whiskers allow cats to receive so much information is that their vibrissae or whiskers are attached three times deeper in the skin and in this way they manage to join a great quantity of nervous endings through sensitive cells, this is how these tactile receptors allow our felines to capture practically any movement around them, in a few words their whiskers are the ones that allow them to be so sensitive.

Now, cats' whiskers are not only next to their nose, they also have them on the upper part of their eyes, that is to say on their eyebrows, behind their front paws and, in some cases, on their chin.
