Everyone who has ever read my blog knows that I love animals and thanks to the discovery of a page full of different world and international celebrations, I have discovered an interesting series of dates, some more emotional than others, some funny, in short there is something for everyone, but I discovered in them so many dates related to living beings and nature that I take advantage every time I can to share one through a publication, because besides liking the subject, the information may be unknown to some.

Yesterday, July 29th was celebrated the International Day of the Tiger, a beautiful and majestic animal, which holds the crown of the largest feline in the world, since they reach a length of approximately 3.8 meters (including the tail) and reach 300 kilos. These beautiful animals have orange, white and black striped fur, which allows them to camouflage themselves to hunt their prey, they are majestic and admired by many. But for years, due to several factors, their numbers have decreased drastically, among these factors we have:

Poaching: as it usually happens with other animals, the hunting of these felines is very well paid, the main reason, Asian medicine, since several parts of their body are attributed amazing healing properties in addition to pay very well for their skins.

Loss of their territories: illegal mining has caused the death of many tigers by invading their territory, since the human beings who practice this mining, kill these huge felines, without any kind of contemplation, in order to exploit the riches, to this we must add that tigers are characterized by having large tracts of territory to hunt and that they guard jealously, Thus, in addition to illegal mining, the growth of settlements and cities has reduced their territories, which means that some tigers invade the territory of others, causing fights that sometimes end in the death of one of the tigers in question.

Hunting of grazing animals: this is another reason why the tiger population has decreased significantly, by reducing their territories or invading them, they scare away their possible prey and put near the hungry tiger grazing animals which it can hunt easily, this causes conflicts with the locals, which usually ends in hunting the tiger that is hunting the livestock.

Now, if you have read the tiger problem here, this species is the victim of civilization and the human race that has invaded its territory and has been cornering it in various ways.

Therefore, in 2010, while celebrating the year of the Tiger according to the Chinese horoscope and while holding the Tiger Summit in Russia, an initiative of the current president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, brought together the leaders of the 13 countries that still have tiger populations in the wild Bangladesh, Russia, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam, who signed a pact and decreed July 29th as the International Tiger Day.

It is important to point out that the number of tigers in the world, due to the aforementioned causes, has decreased notably, besides the fact that some specimens of certain nations are so affected that breeding programs have had to be carried out or implemented with the purpose of avoiding their total disappearance.

Finally, and before retiring, the greatest threat to the tiger is the human beings, since we have attacked it from ignorance and fear, being the real affected, so I say goodbye hoping that this publication invites you to know a little more of these magnificent felines. Todos los que me han leído alguna vez mi blog saben que amo a los animales y gracias al descubrimiento de una pagina llena de distintas celebraciones mundiales e internacionales, he descubierto una serie interesante de fechas, algunas más emotivas que otras, algunas graciosas, en fin hay para todos los gustos, pero descubrí en ellas tantas fechas relativas a seres vivos y naturaleza que aprovecho cada vez que puedo para compartir una por medio de una publicación, ya que además de agradarme el tema, la información puede ser desconocida para algunos.

El día de ayer 29 de julio se celebro el Día internacional del Tigre, un hermoso y majestuoso animal, que ostenta la corona de felino mas grande del mundo, ya que llegan a tener mediadas aproximadamente 3,8 metros de largo (incluyendo la cola) y alcanzar los 300 kilos. Estos hermosos animales tienen un pelaje de color naranja, blanco y con rayas negras, el cual les permite camuflarse para cazar a sus presas, son majestuosos y admirados por muchos. Pero desde hace años debido a diversos factores su número a disminuido drásticamente, entre estos factores tenemos:

Caza furtiva: como suele ocurrir con otros animales, la caza de estos felinos esta muy bien pagada, la razón principal, la medicina asiática, ya que a varias partes de su cuerpo se le atribuyen propiedades curativas asombrosa además de que pagan muy bien por sus pieles.

Perdida de sus territorios: la minería ilegal ha causado la muerte a muchos tigres al invadir su territorio, ya que los seres humanos que practican esta minería, dan muerte a estos enormes felinos, sin ningún tipo de contemplación, para poder explotar las riquezas, a esto debemos agregar que los tigres se caracterizan por poseer grandes extensiones de territorio para cazar y que custodian celosamente, así además de la minería ilegal, el crecimiento de los asentamientos y ciudades ha disminuido sus territorios, lo que implica que algunos tigres invadan el territorio de otro lo que ocasiona peleas que a veces terminan en la muerte de alguno de los ejemplares en cuestión.

Caza de animales de pastoreo: esta es otra razón por la que la población de tigres a mermado notablemente, al disminuir sus territorios o invadirlos, espantan a sus posibles presas y ponen cerca del tigre hambriento animales de pastoreo los cuales puede cazar con facilidad, esto ocasiona conflictos con los lugareños, lo que suele terminar en que se le de caza al tigre que está tacando al ganado.

Ahora bien, si tú has leído la problemática el tigre aquí es esta especie la víctima de la civilización y de la raza humana que ha invadió su territorio y lo ha ido acorralando de diversas formas.

Por consiguiente, en al año 2010, mientras se celebraba el año del Tigre de acuerdo al horóscopo chino y mientras se celebraba la Cumbre del Tigre en Rusia, tuvo lugar una iniciativa de quien es actualmente el presidente de Rusia, Vladimir Putin, el reunió a los líderes de los 13 países que aún cuentan con población de tigres en estado de libertad Bangladesh, Rusia, Bután, China, India, Indonesia, Camboya, Laos, Malasia, Myanmar, Nepal, Tailandia y Vietnam, los cuales firmaron un pacto y decretaron el 29 de julio el Día internacional del Tigre.

Es importante señalar, que el numero de Tigres en el mundo, debido a las causas anteriormente mencionadas, disminuyo notablemente, además de que algunos ejemplares, de ciertas naciones están tan afectadas que se han tenido que realizar o implantar programas de reproducción con el propósito de evitar su total desaparición.

Por último y antes de retirarme, la mayor amenaza para el tigre somos los seres humanos, ya que le hemos atacado desde la ignorancia y temor, siendo el verdadero afectado, así me despido esperando que esta publicación te invite a conocer un poco mas de estos magníficos felinos.
