The period films often attract our attention not only for its plot that sometimes reflects part of the story, also attracts us by their costumes and scenery, I particularly pay attention to these details because making a period film requires effort and dedication, of the period films that I love I have a favorite and it will dedicate my publication as it seems the best film in which the famous 3 musketeers appear, that film is "The Man in the Iron Mask".

Now, as for the plot, this film begins with the discovery of some papers after the French revolution where there was talk of a prisoner with an iron mask, so this film tells what many others were mentioned even in books. In short, this film may have some real history, such as the existence of King Louis XIV also known as the Sun King.

At the same time we see the prisoner with the mask, in the Bastille making paper boats and looking longingly at the moon, while in the palace King Louis receives his advisors who inform them that there are riots in Paris, because they are delivering rotten food, to which the King does not give greater importance, there Aramis arrives to the place and the King makes him a request, to discover who is the head of the Jesuits who opposes him and kill him, Aramis accepts.

After this we see a party at the palace where King Louis meets Christine, the fiancée of Raul, son of Athos and becomes so infatuated with her that he sends Raul to war and ensures his death, so that his fiancée must turn to him for help.

Thus begins a series of events in which it is discovered first that Aramis is the head of the Jesuits, second the enmity that arises between Athos and D'Artagnan as a result of Raoul's death and Prothos' inner struggle, as he feels old and useless. Thus these three characters free Philippe who turns out to be the twin brother of Louis who was separated at birth from his mother, telling her that he had died and whom his brother ordered to be buried in life, behind a mask and in prison, after learning of his existence.

From this movie there is a scene that for me is epic and it is when the musketeers use again their old uniforms that were black and try to free Philippe from the Bastille, being cornered and decide to go out to face the new generation of musketeers is a scene or series of very exciting and impressive scenes.
