In the year 1878, the Phonograph is created, this invention is due to Thomas Alva Edison and the creation of this device brought with it the creation or need for others, as is this format that I have been talking about, which is considered the most used for years recording and subsequent reproduction of music, the reason for originating this celebration is nothing more and nothing less than preserving the musical heritage of the past.

Now, when and how this date came about, many of us know that vinyl practically disappeared before the arrival of CD, this format practically displaced vinyl, but CD had a boom and rapid disappearance, if we compare it with vinyl which was the format used during the years 1950 to 1980, on the other hand, the first vinyl records made their appearance in the market in the year 1948.

As some will remember in the 90's after the appearance of the CD the vinyl record was left behind, but as I mentioned in the previous paragraph, this format as well as it arrived said goodbye after the dominance of digital files so the vinyl record has resumed boom and is used by DJs and are still bought by those who value this format.

Hence, in 2002 in the city of California, many participants of a musical event decided to celebrate a day as a tribute to the Vinyl Record in order to preserve the musical heritage of the past, since that year on that date is remembered and honored a format of marketing music of the twentieth century. In short the vinyl record is considered vintage.

Vintage:

It is the term used to refer to objects or accessories with a certain age, which cannot yet be classified as antiques, and which are considered to have improved or have been revalued with the passage of time. It arises by analogy with the aged wines referred to in the term, which improve with time. It is used to designate musical instruments, automobiles, books, photographs, and, more recently, clothing or clothing accessories, as well as video consoles and video games.
