Creo que son pocas las personas en el mundo que no conocen esta canción, era el opening del anime Heidi. una niña que vivía en las montañas con su abuelo, al cual amaba profundamente, traigo esta canción a colación, ya que hoy 26 de julio se celebra el día del abuelo, desconozco si todos ustedes tienen abuelo, pero estoy segura de que la mayoría tiene un abuelo y/o abuela muy querida que ha dejado huella en sus almas, sobre todo si crecieron de manera muy cercana a ellos.
En mi caso, yo no conocí a ninguno de mis abuelos ya que ambos murieron antes de mi nacimiento, en cuanto a mi abuela paterna vivía en otro estado del país, así que nos veíamos esporádicamente, pero igual las pocas veces que nos vimos siempre demostró un gran cariño y afecto hacia mi y de mi parte fue igual, de hecho, muchos dicen que me parezco mucho a ella físicamente en cuanto al aspecto físico.
De la misma manera, en lo que a mi abuela materna se refiere, pues tuve el honor y el privilegio de crecer a su lado y ella ha marcado mi vida de manera profunda, pues siempre ha tendido cualidades admirables: fuerte, trabajadora, servicial, amorosa, firme, en fin, tantas cosas que podría decir de ella, esta señora de nombre Carmen, actualmente tiene 99 años, los cumplió el 16 de este mes, así que al saber que hoy se celebraba esta fecha, no podía perder la oportunidad de homenajearla y de dar a conocer la celebración de esta fecha.
Ahora bien, hablemos de la creación de esta fecha y cual es su propósito, pues nace motivado a que en el calendario católico se celebra el 26 de julio, el santoral de San Joaquín y Santa Ana, padres de la Virgen María y abuelos de Jesucristo. Pero en otros países se celebra el día del abuelo en otras fechas, por ejemplo en México es el 28 de agosto, en Polinia el 21 y 22 de enero y en Francia es el primer domingo de marzo.
Ciertamente, los abuelos tienen una profunda influencia en el entorno familiar, ya que se le considera sabios y un ejemplo a seguir; si se les permite contribuir en algunas labor por más mínima que esta sea ellos podrán sentirse útiles y activos, cosa que contribuirá a su salud emocional.
Se podría decir, que los abuelos son esa parte de la familia llena de sabiduría, ternura y amor al mismo tiempo, ya que trasmiten, afecto, bondad y comprensión, por ello no comprendo como algunos hijos y familia cercana los dejan a su suerte en ancianatos, puedo comprender que todos tenemos ocupaciones, pero ellos criaron y cuidaron de sus hijos, aun teniendo mil labores y responsabilidades y, cuando a estos les llega el turno de ver sus padres se hacen la vista gorda.
Por otro lado, también es cierto que hay ancianatos de muy buena calidad y con excelente atención, donde son realmente cuidados , pero hay otros que dejan mucho que desear y lo peor de todo esto es que los familiares de estos abuelitos los dejan allí olvidados y muchas veces no les visitan, estoy segura de que a ninguno de nosotros nos gustaría terminar nuestros días solos rodeados d personas desconocidas que no son familia cercana y si ver poco o nada a esas personas con las que compartimos sangre en la que invertimos horas de amor, esfuerzo y dedicación.
Ya para finalizar, creo que la mejor manera de celebrar este día del abuelo, es amar de manera genuina a nuestro abuelos, cuidarles en sus últimos días, como ellos alguna vez lo hicieron con nosotros y, de ser posible comparte alguna actividad de su agrado, por ejemplo podríamos preparar su comida favorita, escuchar esa música que tanto le gusta, o ver esa película que es de sus agrado o simplemente conversar con el, recordarle lo mucho que le amas y lo agradecido que estas por el amor que te brindo, recuerda que a su edad no todos llegaremos, pero de lograrlo creo que quisiéramos ser tratados con genuino amor, respeto y delicadeza; ya me retiro, me despido esperando me dejes tus impresiones en el cajón de comentarios.

Lo que pienso es que a veces no se les tiene la pazciencia que se le tiene a los niños, esto es realmente injusto porque los abuelos atendieron a sus hijos y a los nietos dos generaciones entregándoles mucho amor y lo mínimo que debemos hacer cuando estos envejecen es invertir el tiempo para retribuirles tanto amor, tanto cariño y tanta pazciencia.
