I live at a distance of 3-4 km as the crow flies from Vesuvius. Two cities close to the neighborhood where I live were semi-destroyed by the last eruption of '44.

I'm worried and I'm prepared to run away without hesitation. 3-4 km seem few but are enough to give you a few hours to escape in case of eruption of intensity VEI 4 or 5.
