Second Day Into 2022... SNOW!

We look out the window today and the ground is completely covered with several inches of snow.

Thankfully we have a warm house and warm clothing, so even though the weather outside is frightful, we are comfortable and cozy.

Do Not Worry: The Most Difficult Commandment

It's so easy to take these things for granted, but it's not something to take for granted. Situation can happen that cause all of life's comforts to vanish and test our fortitude. As Yeshua said:

Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food? Is not the body more than clothes? Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ The gentiles run after all these things and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Seek first the Reign of God and His righteousness, and all these [which you need] shall be added to you. Matthew 6:25-32

Notice "warm home" is not mentioned here, as if that is not a necessity of life. Maybe it's not! Yeshua Himself spent His ministry homeless, relying completely on the hospitality of strangers, otherwise He was camping in the wilderness. Other than His time of fasting, Yeshua always was provided for by His Father, what He would eat and drink and what He would wear. He is our example of one who placed the Righteousness of His Father first, that is why we rely on Yeshua's righteousness as our example of how to live.

Yeshua is our righteousness!

Never Take for Granted

The lesson here is to trust in God, that He'll take care of us, but don't take His gifts for granted. I view a warm home on a cold day an EXTRA SPECIAL blessing, not something to worry about, but something to be grateful for. We know that the Most High will provide food, drink and clothing. But the comfort of a warm and cozy home is a blessing even beyond these!

Thank you for this lovely reminder of being thankful each day. I sometimes tend to worry much and find solace when I pray. I'm thankful for your post and find it inspiring. PS. I do wish to experience snow at least once in my lifetime. LOL!

Happy new year to you and yours!
