The time is currently 9:47pm and when I picked up my phone to write, I had a completely different post in mind but here I am, about to write about something entirely different from what I initially had in mind.
Some mornings when I wake up and then remember the things I have to do, things that if not done would affect me one way or the other, I always take a moment to remind myself that I’m doing great already. I’m a young Nigerian man surviving on his own with no debts whatsoever, no fear of stepping out of my house. To me that’s a big flex that I will forever be grateful for.
I have inner peace and that’s something I’ve come to realize tonight that I need to be grateful for that.
A lot of things are happening to me tonight and it’s all thanks to Nasty C and his beautiful music. There’s something about good music, what it does to our body and soul. The liberation we get from it. It’s beautiful.
Right now I’m listening to “Everything” by Nasty C, a South African musician and for some reason it’s cutting deep into me, making me appreciate the things I have more than I’ve ever done in my life. We really should learn to worry less about the things we don’t have and appreciate the things we do have more because there was a time in our lives where we didn’t have those things and wanted them so bad and now that we do have them, it’s only common sense to be grateful.
And I’m not just talking about material stuff, other things like inner peace, happiness, good health and the likes, we should learn to be appreciative about those things too because they all are very important, we only don’t know this until we no longer have them.

Just in case any one of you do decide to download the song, here’s a little tip for you. Get a good headset, lay down on your bed with your eyes closed and then hit play with the volume at the highest. You might hurt your eardrum but trust me, it will be worth it.
Urgh! That song is a true masterpiece, every line, every beat, everything!!! Thanks for reminding me of it cause I haven't listened in a minute and I'll go that just the way you suggested.
Also, thank you for reminding me to show a little gratitude because it is easy to get caught up and forget we are currently experiencing an answered prayer.
