Your Prayer – Psalm 86:11

gk6zn8.png

Teach me your way, O YHWH, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

Well, we’d like to think that this is everyones prayer, and I suppose it could be. However, how do we live out that prayer?

You see, we can say a lot things, but if our actions don’t line up with our words, what’s the use? Think of it this way, this psalm says “Teach me your way, O YHWH, and I will walk in your truth;” But what if He teaches you something that requires change in your life? What if He teaches you something that requires you to give something up in your life? Will you hold true to that prayer that says “…and I will walk in your truth;”?

Interestingly enough, the psalmist here thought that through already. That’s why he prayed “…give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” An undivided heart. A heart that is sold out no matter what. No matter what change or sacrifice that he is presented with by YHWH, he will have no second thought, no hesitation, he will follow through with what he was taught. So, is this your prayer?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.

Howdy sir simms50! Another great lesson here. I reckon most people won't make changes for God unfortunately. But some will, a Remnant like the Bible talks about! I think most main line churches are becoming too secularized.

God has always had a remnant of people, but in these so called "last days" it seems like the remnant is growing. It is the revival that everyone wants from God that people are ignoring!

I agree, I think the true believers are the fastest growing part of the body, at home and home groups. Do you think we're in the Last Days? I think we probably are but I think the end might be a long way away, I know most people think we are at the end of the last days but I don't think so.

I do think we are, many prophecies in the Bible have only been able to come true in the last few decades. If you pointed a gun at me, which your wouldn't, and said GUESS RIGHT NOW!!!! I suppose I would have to guess that Yeshua our Messiah and saviour will return in less than 20 years.

Yes sir and good day to you sir simms50! I agree, with certain things going on it's hard to believe that the world would last much longer than that before His return!
