RE: "Save the gas" policy backfires at European Union

The only time humans try to take drastic measures is when they're on a tight corner having just little choice left. European dependency on Russia oil and wheat is one of the reasons Putin was bold to embark on this ugly war. He has something some nations want and can't get it elsewhere so easily. So he use the threat tactics, the same he used during the Georgia invasion.

I personally think that after the Georgia invasion, European should have seen the hand writing on the wall and start looking for gaz supply alternative.
