Hobart Hurricanes batted first after winning the toss, and started the inning very poorly, Nathan Ellis scored 24 runs in 18 balls, Tom Andrews 27 runs in 21 balls, Tim David 20 runs in 13 balls, Zak Crawley 19 runs in 19 balls, D Arcy Short 18 runs in 16 balls, Faheem Ashraf 9 runs, Caleb Jewell 8 runs, Ben McDermott 7 runs, Matthew Wade dismissed without scoring, and Patrick Dooley remains unbeaten for 1 run.
