RE: 2022 Coins Are Appearing

I usually see the current year currency show up at the beginning of the year in Salt Lake City, Ut.

I guess this changes according to one's distance from the distribution network for coins.

A 2022 US dollar has about the same buying power as a 1913 penny.

The site Coinflation reports on the melt value of US coins. The melt value is the market price of metals contained in the coins. The melt value of a nickel is more than $0.05.

Since the melt value of dimes and quarters is about 20% of the face value of the coins, I suspect that we will see the end of coins in the US quite soon.

BTW, the way that they plan on forcing us into digital money is by limiting high denominations. The highest denomination bill is the C-Note. It is hard to find a hotel room for $100 a night in most US cities.
